Former acting Police Commissioner Khomotso Johannes Phahlane  has been arrested and is expected to appear at the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court on Friday morning on charges linked to a R86m blue lights tender.

Phahlane's arrest along with SAPS head of supply chain management Ravichandran Pillay comes after the Independent Police Investigative investigated the awarding of the multi-million rand tender to Instrumentation Traffic Law Enforcement owned by Vimpie Manthatha in 2016.
