According to the publication the top advocate will represent Bushiri and his wife against fraud and money laundering charges.
Roux represented murder convicted former paralympian Oscar Pistorius after the athlete shot and killed his girlfriend Reeve Steenkamp on Valentines day in 2013.
Bushiri and his wife made a brief appearance at the Commercials Crime Court in Pretoria on Monday. The coupl was arrested by the Hawks on Friday.
