| Mokgalapa elected new Tshwane Mayor |

Mokgalapa has been elected as the new mayor of Tshwane. Mokgalapa
takes over from Solly Msimanga who is headed to the Provincial
Legislature.
Earlier
this month, The Democratic
Alliance (DA) announced
Mokgalapa as their preferred mayoral candidate after officially
handed in his resignation letter to the council Speaker.
