Slain 27 year old Thoriso Themane was laid to rest in Polokwane on Saturday exactly a week after he was brutally attacked in Flora Park by a group of teenagers.Paying a moving tribute to her only son, in a speech read out by a family representative, his mother described him as a generous man who always put others first " i never thought i would stand in front of you to bid farewell to my only Thoriso".
Community menbers came out in their numbers to pay their last respect to Thoriso. Also in attendance were Police Minister Bheki Cele, Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha, the province's MEC for Community Safety as well as Polokwane City Mayor.
The Police Minister made a call to parents to be more vigilant of children and their whereabouts, so far police have made nine arrests in connection with Themane's murder.
