Nersa announces a-9.41% increase in electricity traffics this year

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa has announced a 9.41 percent increase in electricity tarrifs for this year. The energy regulator announced the hikes  at a press briefing on Thursday afternoon , the increases will be over a period of three years. For the the year 2019/2020 Eskom was allowed 9.41percent or R206.34 billion. 8.10 percent or allowed revenue of R221, 8 billion for 2020/2021 and a 5.83 percent or allowed revenue of R233.1 billion for 2021/2022.
The increase for this year will be implemented from the 1st of April.
