Sho Madjozi drops debut album

The "huku" hitmaker today launched her 13 track debut album titled Limpopo Champions League.
Best known for her Tsonga lyrics and colourful fashion sense, Madjozi's new album is a collection of old and new songs.

The album consists of 13 songs, she worked self proclaimed venda queen Makhadzi, Kwesta as well as acclaimed
Nigerian artist Ycee, amongst others.

Zuma ordered to pay his own legal fees

Former President Jacob Zuma has been ordered to pay for his legal fees which were uncured in his personal capacity i criminal cases against him.

"It is declared that the State is not liable for legal costs incurred by Zuma," Deputy Judge President Aubrey Ledwaba said when he handed down judgment in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Thursday.

Ledwaba said the decision the Presidency and the state attorney had taken, that the State would cover the legal costs Zuma incurred in his personal capacity, was invalid and he set it aside.

The state attorney was also directed to compile a full and complete account of all the legal costs that Zuma incurred in his personal capacity in the criminal prosecution instituted against him and all related or ancillary litigation. This includes all the applications referred to in his matter, which the State paid for. In addition, the state attorney was told to take all necessary steps, including the institution of civil proceedings, to recover the amounts paid.

High court to decide if Zuma must ‘pay back the money’ for his legal fees

The North Gauteng High Court is expected to decide Thursday whether or not former president Jacob Zuma should pay back the R15.3 million the state has already spent on his legal fees to defend allegations of impropriety levelled against him over the years.

The application to have Zuma pay back the money was brought by the Democratic Alliance (DA), which was later joined by the Economic Freedom Fighters.

Both parties also want the agreement between President Cyril Ramaphosa and his predecessor Zuma to cover his legal costs declared unlawful.

Arguing that the criminal prosecution was against Zuma in his personal capacity, the DA said the state should not be paying for his legal fees.

Pretoria woman tells how she was asked to name her price to sell baby at Centurion Mall

A Pretoria woman has told Eye Witness News (https://ewn.co.za/) of how she was approached by a man offering to buy her child at the Forest Hill Mall in Centurion.

According to the woman, a man approached her while she was shopping with her children aged 11 months and 4-years-old at the Forest Hill Mall on Tuesday asking to buy her child.

She says that after the approach she threatened to call security.

“And he sat down and smoked and you know he wasn’t even fazed by it. So, I went into the Absa bank and I asked them to show me where the security is and they said they don’t have any security. So I asked them to call [mall] security because this guy tried to bargain with me to take my daughter from me.”

She says centre management called her on Tuesday morning with more information on the incident.

DA threatens legal action against Bosasa

DA leader Mmusi Maimane is threatening legal action against facilities company, Bosasa, for its alleged failure to reveal whether it has business dealings with President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son, Andile.

Maimane’s threats came after Bosasa, now known as African Global, responded to the opposition party’s PAIA application in which Maimane wanted to know the contents of the contracts Bosasa had with Andile Ramaphosa. Maimane made the PAIA application on November 8 and he got the response on Thursday last week.

Last month, Ramaphosa surprisingly backtracked on his reply in Parliament that the R500000 was for a business service. Ramaphosa said the money was for his campaign conducted last year when he was contesting to be ANC president. However, he said this was done without his knowledge by Andile.

Cheryl Zondi launches foundation to support abuse victims

One of the woman who took the stand against Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso has launched her own foundation.

Zondi accused Omotoso of sexual assault that allegedly went on for a couple of years, the pastor is facing a string of charges including rape and alleged human trafficking.

Zondi announced the establishment of the Cheryl Zondi Foundation at a press conference on Tuesday morning, with the CRL Rights Commission in support of her. The foundation will run public awareness campaigns, assist families of victims of abuse in sacred spaces, assist victims legally and seek to change the legal system to work better for victims.

CCTV reveals shocking chaotic crime at Sasol Garage after Global Citizen Festival

Two days after the historic Global Citizen Festival that took place at FNB stadium in Soweto, shocking footage has emerged revealing the long hour crime spree that took place at the Sasol garage about 1.4 km from the venue.
Dozens of people have come out on several social media platforms to detail their horrific experiences after the festival, experiences include being mugged, being held at gun point and assault for some.
So far seven people have been arrested.

Ntsiki in hot water with fans after saying people deserved to be robbed

Ntsiki Mazwai has once again landed on the Twitter trends list after she tweeted that the masses of people who were robbed, assaulted and hurt after attending the Global Citizen Festival, deserved everything that happened to them.
This after festival goers found themselves stranded outside FNB stadium on the wee hours of the 3rd of December 2018.

Ntsiki tweeted that the concept of the Global Citizen concert was "evil", "ugly" and "excluded" people and because of that Global Citizen (and people who attended it by association) "deserved" to suffer at the hands of robbers.

Weeks leading to the much anticipated concert, mainly attributed to it's impressive line-up that included Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Ntsiki threw low-key shade at the Carters and Global Citizen.

Twitter came for the poet for her "sick" tweets. They reasoned that no matter how much her hate is for B or Global Citizen, she shouldn't say such harsh words after scores of innocent were target as prey for criminals
